AXAKADAM – HABEAS CORPUS
“Habeas Corpus”, letteralmente “che tu abbia il corpo”, è una locuzione latina utilizzata nei sistemi giuridici di common law, per indicare l’ordine emesso da un giudice di portare un prigioniero al proprio cospetto.
“che tu abbia corpo” è un intimazione, un ordine, una condanna, un esporsi al giudizio.
Al di là della forma giuridica; “Che tu abbia corpo” diventa un sinonimo di espressione artistica nelle immagini di Axakadam che immortala teatralmente il corpo della donna e allo stesso tempo nei riflessi, nelle esposizioni multiple e nelle contaminazioni dell’immagine leggiamo molto di più di quanto il nudo corpo riveli.
“Che tu abbia corpo” è un estratto da un life time project che Axakadam porta avanti da oltre 20 anni, realizzato interamente su pellicola Polaroid per banco ottico.
Le immagini esposte fanno parte della produzione 8X10” ovvero 20X25 cm. su pellicola Impossible, Polaroid Originals e Polaroid, realizzate dal 2012 ad oggi.
La scelta del Banco Ottico come strumento obbliga il fotografo ad un approccio estremamente cauto e meditativo, le immagini durante la fase di scatto vengono visualizzate con gli assi invertiti, ovvero l’alto diventa il basso e la sinistra diventa destra, rendendo la composizione e la narrativa un gioco di ingegno e percezione che Axakadam svolge con grande maestria.“HABEAS CORPUS” inaugura l’8 Marzo alle ore 18,00 presso Foto galleria Paoletti, la data è scelta come omaggio al mondo femminile che Axakadam cerca di rappresentare nella sua fotografia

AXAKADAM – HABEAS CORPUS
“Habeas Corpus”, literally “you may have the body”, is a Latin phrase used in common law legal systems to indicate the order issued by a judge to bring a prisoner before him.
“you may have the body” is an intimation, an order, a condemnation, an exposure to judgement.
Beyond the legal form; “you may have a body” becomes a synonym of artistic expression in Axakadam’s images which theatrically immortalize the woman’s figure and at the same time in the reflections, multiple exposures and contaminations of the image we read much more than what the naked body reveals.
“you may have the body” is an excerpt from a life time project that Axakadam has been carrying out for over 15 years, made entirely on Polaroid film for optical benches.
The images displayed are part of the 8X10″ or 20X25 cm production. on Impossible film, Polaroid Originals and Polaroid, made from 2012 to today.
The choice of the Optical Bench as a tool forces the photographer to an extremely cautious and meditative approach, the images during the shooting phase are displayed with the axes reversed, i.e. the top becomes the bottom and the left becomes right, making the composition and the narrative a game of ingenuity and perception that Axakadam carries out with great mastery
“HABEAS CORPUS” opens on March 8th at 6pm at the Paoletti photo gallery, the date is chosen as a tribute to the female world that Axakadam tries to represent in his photography.

Non sono un uomo bravo con le parole, per questo seguo fortemente il detto “Un’immagine vale diecimila parole” popolarmente, ma forse erroneamente, attribuito a Confucio. Nel mio silenzio in questo nostro mondo patriarcale, mi sento come un vagabondo senza speranza che cerca di intravedere attraverso la macchina fotografica; una tensione dietro la pelle, un volto dietro un viso o una scintilla di femminilità dietro una inaccessibile tempesta. Dipendo completamente dalle mie modelle, muse e amiche per guidarmi nella loro infinita intuizione e riportarmi a riva sano e salvo.
I am not a man who is good with words, so I strongly follow the saying “A picture is worth ten thousand words” popularly, but perhaps erroneously, attributed to Confucius. In my silence in this patriarchal world of ours, I feel like a hopeless wanderer trying to glimpse through the camera; a tension behind the skin, a countenance behind a face or a spark of femininity behind an inaccessible storm. I am completely dependent on my models, muses and friends to guide me in their infinite intuition and bring me back to shore safely.
